Solution Item

The result of purposeful work performed within a specific set of technical tasks. It can be decomposed into technical tasks at any time.

A Solution Item can be linked with other input/output dependencies (by sequence of execution) or be an autonomous element of decomposition.

The user has the ability to automate task creation - creating a pipeline for each Solution Item. The connection between the Solution Item and the pipeline is established through the belonging of the Solution Item to a specific category.

Statuses:

• Not defined: The team is not defined, and tasks are not created. 
• Awaiting: The solution has a Predecessor. 
• In progress: Two conditions:  

• • the team is defined 
  • at least one task is created. 

• Done: All tasks are done. 

User actions:

• Creation and editing of a Solution Item (name, description) at any time.
• Assignment/removal of a team at any time.
• Determining Category Membership (the link between the Solution Item category and Pipeline automatically creates a chain of tasks according to the created Pipelines - determined by the skills in the stages and the sequence of the stages themselves).
• Creation of dependencies between Solution Items at any time.
• Decomposition at any time.
• Move SI
• Automatic work division in SI
• Deletion is possible if the Solution Item is not decomposed into Tasks.

Rules for assigning a team to an SI:

❌It's not possible to assign multiple teams to one SI.

✅One team can be assigned to multiple SIs for sequential or parallel work (if there are dependencies).

✅Teams can be assigned/removed at any time.

If there are technical tasks in progress (DOING, QMP workflow stages) during the changes, the system doesn't change the assigned performers.

• Assigning a team to perform tasks in an SI is a mandatory condition for launching the automated performer assignment algorithm.

Automation in creating tasks in Solution Item:

The system can automatically configure a group of tasks with specific competencies and their execution sequence - Pipeline. To do this:

1. Create a Pipeline (Workspace Pipelines).
2. Link the Pipeline to the Solution Item category (Workspace Categories Solution Item) .
3. Select the desired category in Solution Item (Workspace Epics).
