The process that a task goes through from creation to successful completion. The Workflow system is visually represented by a sequence of production stages aimed at coordinating, controlling, and managing the quality of task implementation flows in a project.
Workflow has a strictly defined structure consisting of primary stages (Workflow Stages)—TO DO, DOING, DONE. Workflow Stages determine and control the progress of project task execution.
The system allows users to customize the QUALITY MANAGEMENT PROCESS stage (on the WORKFLOW screen). Customization refers to users creating individual stages within the QMP stage based on internal company policy rules or the need to incorporate additional quality control actions for implemented tasks and project objectives.
Tasks move to stages only if the following conditions are met:
- The task has defined competencies and estimates.
- The PI is defined.
TO DO
(Default stage in the system - the user cannot change the structure or visual representation of the stage. The default rule also applies to sub-stages)
The stage is divided into two sub-stages:
AWAITING - the task is ready for planning. It is marked with the "Is defined" checkbox (the required skill and competence level of the performer are determined; estimates are assigned to the task) and is awaiting assignment to a performer. Tasks at this stage depend on completing other tasks and cannot be started until the predecessor task is completed (this rule applies to tasks with incoming dependencies defined on the Epic screen or tasks blocked on the Inbox screen).
READY TO DO - the task is prepared for planning, marked with the "Is defined" checkbox (the required skill and competence level of the performer are determined; estimates are assigned to the task), and is awaiting assignment to a performer. Tasks at this stage do not depend on the completion of other tasks. Alternatively, if the system has already assigned the performer, the task is waiting for them to start its implementation. When the reviewer returns the task for revisions, it returns to this stage.
DOING
(Default stage in the system - the user cannot change the structure or visual representation of the stage. The default rule also applies to the sub-stage)
The stage consists of one sub-stage:
IN PROCESS - the task enters this stage when the performer starts implementing, and time tracking for the performer begins.
The system allows users to customize the Quality Management Process (QMP) stage of task verification. These unique stages are created by the user based on the industry, internal company policies, or the need for additional or intermediate quality checks for implemented tasks and project objectives.
DONE
(Default stage in the system - the user cannot make changes to the structure or visual representation of the stage in the system) - the final stage. All tasks at this stage are completed and do not require any more action from the team members.
